Whitney/Strong has persevered through the pandemic and we have done even more work this year to train community members to Stop the Bleed, store their firearms safely, and give people the skills to help prevent suicide. Our focus on communities disproportionally impacted by gun violence has led us to some great partnerships with local organizations. 

With a 95% increase in firearm sales in 2020, Whitney/Strong is focused on helping ensure that gun owners are safely storing their firearms. According to the CDC, more than 50% of suicides are attributed to firearms, so having more people trained to help friends and family in a moment of crisis is key to saving lives. 

Our Whitney/Strong Advocacy Fund was created to ensure we can sustain our commitment to offering programs focused on data-driven solutions in firearm safety, suicide prevention, and trauma training.
